Memorial Run

So far this year ... 149 law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty

On average, 58,000 law enforcement officers are assaulted each year, resulting in approximately 16,000 injuries.

Since the first recorded police officer death in 1792, there have been nearly 19,000 officers killed in the line of duty. (NLEOMF)

It is our goal to increase respect, raise awareness for officer safety, and honor all of our law enforcement heroes. With over 10,000 sworn officers in the State of Connecticut alone, we have the ability to raise in excess of $250,000 to maintain efforts in research and education, and ensure that the courage and dedication of our fallen officers is never forgotten.

The Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run calls together officers, survivors, and supporters to participate in a 5K run to benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. The dollars we raise will help maintain the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, organize Police Week events, fund research and education in officer safety, and build the first-ever National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, D.C.
