Registration Questions
Do I need to be a law enforcement officer to register/run?
Absolutely not! All are welcome! LEOs and supporters alike! Law enforcement officers who are running are eligible for individual and team awards.
Do you have print registration forms?
No. To expedite the process of registration we have moved to an online-only pre-registration process through RunSignup.
Can I check/verify my registration status?
You can verify your registration through the RunSignup website. When you register for an event, RunSignup automatically creates an account associated with your email address. Log in using the same email address and look for your upcoming events in your account profile.
How do I join/create a law enforcement team?
Sworn law enforcement officers will be eligible for LEO specific awards and agencies with 3 or more sworn runners will be eligible for team awards. To sign up as sworn officer and/or a law enforcement team using the RunSignup online registration:
- Fill out the participant information completely
- On the team page you will be asked to select your law enforcement agency. If you do not see your agency listed contact us and we will add it to the list.
- On the following page indicate that you are a sworn officer and enter your agency name or academy class to verify the correct selection.
- K-9 Officers running with K-9 will be eligible for the K-9 officer division award. Indicate you are a K-9 officer and the name of your furry partner when prompted.
Can I donate rather than register for the run?
Please visit our online registration page and select the "Donation" option in the race registration types. Additionally, those registering to run the race may add additional money in this section to be donated. Please keep in mind that stand-alone donations are subject to the same terms and conditions and do not include race registration or bib/merchandise.
Is there a separate children's run?
While we did feature a separate kids' race we have discontinued this due to lack of interest. We have however changed our registration to accommodate this. Kids under the age of 14 may participate in the 5K race for a reduced registration fee. We will not be held responsible for your hurt ego if your child finishes the race before you.
Do you offer refunds?
The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds for this event. Please click here for information regarding our terms & conditions, privacy policy, event waiver, and refund policy.
Event Questions
How long is the course?
5 kilometer = 3.1 miles... or in even more American terms, the length of 54.56 football fields.
Is the course certified?
Yup! USA Track & Field/Road Running Technical Council certified 5K course!
Are strollers and dogs allowed?
We're more cat people, but dogs are fine too! Oh... at the race? Sure! You are more than welcome to run with your dog or child in a stroller. For law enforcement K-9 officers we feature a separate division for you (please see question above).
Can I walk the course?
Absolutely! Please note however that for the safety of all involved and the convenience of the community the course will be close at 11 AM so walk accordingly! We ask that participants wishing to walk the course group in back of runners at the starting line.
Sponsorship and Volunteer Questions
How can my organization/company sponsor the race?
Contact us and we can set something up! We have a number of sponsorship plans and would be happy to discuss them with you. Additionally, with our non-profit 501(c)(3) status you have the option to donate, feel good, and get some love at tax time! Please keep in mind that we have limited space for booths/tables so please contact us as soon as possible. We are happy to help great local companies promote their business with us. Do you accept merchandise/raffle prizes?
Absolutely! Any donated merchandise or prizes will be put towards the afterparty raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to our causes. Any donations are tax deductible. Please use the contact page if you are interested!
Can I volunteer to help at the event?
Wicked nice of you to offer!! If you are interested in helping out race day with set-up, clean-up, race day registration etc. that would be awesome! And we promise, you'll have fun and no heavy lifting. Please visit our volunteer page for additional information and to sign up!
